BASN Bmaster5 (1DD+4BA) MMCX connector In Ear Monitor Headphone (Blue)

I have seen BASN on amazon, but not seen it discussed often on headphone forums where I lurk to find my next purchase. The Bmaster5s appear to have gotten a revision, so I figured I would try these out, and I am glad I did. I did not expect them to sound as good as they did. They are great.

The headphones come in good packaging and include both a hard case and smaller soft case, along with numerous tips and two sets of good quality cables. There is one set of cables with a mic and one that is more elegant looking and a bit thicker. There are flange tips, comply foam, and standard silicon tips, which provide enough options to get a good fit for a wide range of ears. They also come with a 3.5mm to 6.35mm adapter as well as a cleaning tool.

Sound wise I was very impressed. The IEMs I usually use are the Lesthuoer s12 pros and the Tripowin Olina SEs. I like these better so far. Instrument separation seems on par with the s12s, although bass is not as tight. So far I have mostly listened to various types of electronic music, country, and some classical., and these generally do well. I will say, I find I do prefer the Olina SEs for acoustic music though. But these still do well in most genres I have tried them with. The bass seems a little light, which may be due the the smaller dynamic driver they chose in this new version of the bmaster5s. The positive of that is that the mids sound full and are not obscured by over emphasized bass. Treble sparkles enough but doesn't sound harsh or sibilant. I think this sets tends towsard neutral, but my ears are not those of an audiophile, just an average music enthusiast.

The one thing that may be a negative for many is the nozzle size. The nozzles see very large and do provide a little discomfort after extended sessions. This may be alleviated with different tips, but I have not yet rolled tips. I do find that the stock tips provide a decent seal however, so I am fine with this for now.

All in all, even with the downsides I love these things and plan to throw these in my daily rotation. Definitely worth checking out if you have an addiction to buying headphones like I do.

Why I like it: This is a very comprehensive IEM kit, starting from the packaging (foam lined presentation box), to all of the included components. As a pro musician (trumpet), Ive been using Westone AM Pro 20 units. They are efficient, provide great clarity and response, provide a bit of ambient sound pass through for a more live sound, and allow me to further dial in the level of isolation and frequency response with different styles of silicone tips. The BASN Bmaster 5s allow me to level this up with a wider frequency response (5 drivers vs 2), ambient vs isolated monitoring with either silicone or memory foam tips, 2 styles of MMCX cables. The only downside is that they are a bit bulkier than the AM Pro 20s due to the additional drivers. They may stick out from your ears more than other designs depending on your ear shape. They also take a bit more power to drivemixers and receiver packs will be just fine, but you may need a headphone pre amp to get a higher quality sound when using a mobile device (youll be glad you did!). They are a bit more stylish than other designs. I ordered the black units, and they have a Smokey black chrome finish with a subtle logo and little shapes and skulls on the outer face. Overall, an outstanding monitor set with an extensive list of included accessories!

I wasn't sure what to expect but these monitors sound as good as they look - every note is clear, the bass is rich and resonant. I have a pair of very expensive ones from a more popular brand and can't believe how the sounds is basically on par with those. These are beautiful and thoughtfully designed with every penny you spend being worth it.

Wow!! These are game changing for me. I'm an extremely amateur musician who has been singing on stage doing theater and making music all my life but only recently started trying my hand at doing any studio work or recording. It's very new territory, but I'm so excited to figure it all out. This is my first (and I'm pretty sure only I'll ever need!) set of inner ear monitors and I'm absolutely blown away. I've been using the standard over ear muff type and they work great but these take it to a whole other level. I can hear every subtle nuance and am able to fine tune my music in a way I didn't even think was possible. I know this says they're for drummers but I'm a vocalist and my boyfriend plays guitar and we're both using them and loving them. I think they're pretty versatile. Any musician would find them to be useful. I'm really impressed with the cording as well. It's woven and sturdy but super flexible and it's also great that it has a backup cord included. The carrying case for everything is solid and looks like a tiny music case which is a nice touch. I wish it had an actual spot in the case for the buds themselves. It's got pockets for the cords and accessories but the buds just kind of have to get shoved in where there's space between the other things. Only thing I'd change but it's super minor. These are high quality and worth the price. Very recommended!

These are top quality earphones for professional use. These are in-ear phones like youve seen the pros use on stage. They come with the special MMCX connector. There are two different types of braided connector wires, heavy or light. These fit right into the ear to filter out extraneous noise, like other instruments, loud amps, playback, or loud audiences. The sound is amazing. It comes with a carrying case which is very cool, and is important to keep your high-quality earphones protected. There are separate tools to help keep these professional quality earphones at top performance level.
