BASN Bmaster5 (1DD+4BA) MMCX connector In Ear Monitor Headphone (White)

I used to play a lot and in retirement, still do a few fill-in gigs for a relatively famous musician who tours just about annually. If one of their guys can't make a date or two, or is banned from a country :) I'll take a spot for a bit. Back in the regular gig days I bought some very high end IEM's... almost $1500 all total. Last year I couldn't find them and bought the previous version of these Bmaster5's because I needed something quick. Those were fantastic, and even though I found my old fancy ones- I stuck with the BASN units.
Now, they improved on those and I upgraded again. These are fanfreakintastic IEM's. I could go on and on or do like some people and get AI to write a sales-pitchy diatribe of a review... but I won't. My training started as a classical musician, then years in a big band, then rock bands... my ear is trained, and I'm very into very high end quality audio. To me, these IEM's have a flat, natural, punchy sound that is clear and present from the lowest lows up to the glistening highs.
The one thing is- take your time fitting them with the adapters that fit your ear canals. You may need different size tips from one side to the other. For some reason, people often fit the same size on both and then wonder why one doesn't feel right. Take your time fitting them, as it's important to the sound quality.
These are the best IEM's I've ever heard, and I've got a bunch from a bunch of recognizable names... and if you don't believe me, return them.

Everything about these IEMs scream of quality, from the packaging, to the generous accessories, to the hard case, and to the actual IEMs themselves. I had never heard of this brand and found them on Amazon by chance. The specs were excellent and although these IEMS arent cheap, I feel they are worth every cent. Among the mountain of included accessories, you get a wide variety of silicon tips, a 1/4 Jack adapter, and a spare cable, one with mic, one without. And the sound? They sound fantastic! Ive decided that I will try mixing with these as the sound quality is that good. Do yourself a favor and at least try them. I dont think youll regret it.

These are serious IEMs. I am a drummer and have used plenty of IEMs in the past but this is the first time I'm using BASN. I am very impressed with the sound. The ranges are perfect and they block out ambient noise very well. They come with a ton of replacement ear buds and two sets of cables (one has a controller on it and one doesn't). The storage cases they come with are perfect - a hard case and a soft case. Overall I highly recommend these and would put these up against monitors that cost 3x as much.

These deserved a different name. Different connector, different bass driver, and different tuning. Don't worry, ALL improved from the last Bmaster5, at least in my opinion. These are still fairly neutral, with a touch more of a bass boost. The bass sounds excellent. Is it the liquid silicone driver? I'm inclined to believe so. It does have a unique character. Hard to describe it, other than very quick and punchy. Sort of reminds me of biodynamic drivers.

I was already a fan, but I'm relieved I picked up this version. I almost didn't. If you're undecided between this version or the non-MMCX version, my vote goes to this one. Amazing sound, with top-of-the-line accessories. They're not cheap, but these are easily the best sounding IEMs I've personally tried and I've tried a few at around triple this price.

I am not an audiphile but I do enjoy quality sounds. After owning many headphones and earbuds throughout the years, I am convinced that the higher cost does not automatically equal better sounding products. A lot that should be considered is build quality. Noise cancelling is a nice feature but in the right setting, it does not serve a purpose.
These headphones are wired and come with a vast selection or ear tips so you will have no troubles finding the right ones for you. They have a very nice feel to them and the weight is just right. I do not notice them slipping out of my ears. They have a pre mold shape so they sit against your ear and actually hold. It is really nice. If you have never used a pair of custom molded earplugs, these are the closest you could experience.
Sound quality is really really nice. I love that I can hear picks strumming guitars, breaths taken in-between notes on wind and brass instruments. I am noticing little details I have never heard to songs that have been in my library for years. It is like a whole new experience. I like these a lot more than any Synnheiser I have used. They are comfortable and you really hear the music.
Packing is excellent. These come in a small metal case that can easily fit into your day or travel bag. Has two sets of wires, all the ear tips you would need and a tool for removing the connector from the ear buds. Please follow the instructions and practice care when handling these. They are worth the extra steps.
Wonderful headphones and I love the details on the earbuds themselves. White skulls look really neat.
